I still remember watching the original Dhamaal in 2007 with my college friends – those days were something else! So when I sat down to watch Dhamaal 4, I went in with both excitement and a little bit of fear. Will it match the original madness? Or will it be just another cash grab? Let me tell you, doston, this film is a wild rollercoaster ride – full-on pagalpanti with some technical hiccups that might make you scratch your head.

The Entertainment Factor – Full-On Rollercoaster or Drag?

Bhai, entertainment ki baat karein to Dhamaal 4 does not disappoint. The film starts off with a bang – literally! The opening scene where Upendra Limaye’s character Randeep Singh is hanging from a tree branch over a massive cliff had the entire theatre in splits. The human chain, the screaming, the falling – it was pure Dhamaal madness. But yaar, I have to be honest – sometimes it feels like there are too many characters talking at once. The audio overlap becomes a bit confusing, and you might miss some punchlines. Still, the overall vibe is festive and fun. It’s not a drag at all – the pace is fast, and every scene has something happening.

Insight: The film’s biggest strength is that it never takes itself seriously – even for a second. That’s the Dhamaal formula, and it works like magic here.

Star Performance – Hero’s Swagger and Screen Presence

Ajay Devgn as Guddu Rastogi is pure gold. His deadpan delivery mixed with that iconic swagger – bhai, he owns every scene he’s in. You can see he’s having genuine fun playing this character again. Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi – yaar, this duo is the soul of the film. Their pagalpanti zone, their chemistry, their timing – it’s like they never left! Riteish Deshmukh brings his signature comic energy, and Sanjay Mishra as Johnny D’Costa is absolutely hilarious. But the surprise package for me was Ravi Kishan as Captain Michael. He plays this desi Jack Sparrow character with such over-the-top energy that you can’t help but laugh. Esha Gupta and Sanjeeda Sheikh look good on screen but their roles are limited. Overall, the entire ensemble clicks together, and that’s rare in multi-starrer comedies.

Direction & Vision – Indra Kumar’s Legacy

Indra Kumar saab knows exactly what the Dhamaal audience wants – and he delivers. The man has a clear vision: non-stop comedy, no logic, and maximum chaos. He doesn’t try to make a “meaningful” film. He just wants you to laugh, and for that, I respect his direction. But yaar, I do feel that the editing could have been tighter. Some scenes drag a bit, especially in the second half when the treasure hunt gets a bit repetitive. Still, the way he handles such a massive ensemble cast without losing the plot is commendable. He understands that Dhamaal is about chemistry, not story.

Insight: Indra Kumar trusts his actors completely – he gives them space to improvise, and that’s why the comedy feels so natural and spontaneous.

Dialogues & Action Blocks – Clap-Worthy Moments

Bunty Rathore’s dialogues are sharp and punchy. There are at least 7-8 lines that will make you clap and whistle in the theatre. The banter between Adi and Manav is back with full force – their back-and-forth is literal gold. The action blocks by R.P. Yadav are over-the-top but entertaining. There’s a chase sequence through a haunted mansion that is pure chaos – people falling, slipping, screaming – it’s silly but fun. The climax action scene is a bit too loud and messy for my taste, but the kids in the audience were loving it. So I guess that’s what matters.

Mass Elements Checklist

Element Rating (Out of 5) Comments
Action 3.5/5 Over-the-top but entertaining, especially the haunted mansion chase
Songs 3/5 Title track is catchy, rest are average party numbers
Comedy 4/5 Adi-Manav duo steals the show, but audio overlap is a small issue
Romance 2/5 Very limited, Esha and Sanjeeda don’t get much scope

Music & BGM – Impact Analysis

Amar Mohile’s background score is the unsung hero of this film. When the characters are running, the BGM builds such tension that you feel like you’re in the middle of an Indiana Jones adventure. The title track “Dhamaal Boys Are Back” is a proper party anthem – bhai, theatre mein toh log naachne lage the! But the other songs by Tanishk Bagchi and Guru Randhawa are average. They’re fine for one-time listening but nothing you’ll remember after leaving the theatre. The sound quality with Dolby Atmos is excellent – you can hear every dialogue clearly (when there’s no overlap) and the bass in the songs hits hard.

Cinematography & Technical Craft – Visuals

Sudhir K. Chaudhary’s cinematography is a mixed bag. The wide shots of the treasure locations are beautiful, and the color grading has a vibrant, cartoon-like quality. But yaar, that’s also the problem – the over-saturated visual palette makes everything look like a cartoon. Some scenes look like they were rotoscoped, and the ambient lighting doesn’t always match. The VFX by NY Vfxwaala is decent but not great. There are a few AI-generated shots that feel cheap. Honestly, if you compare it to the original Dhamaal which had a raw, authentic look, this one feels a bit too polished and artificial. But again, the target audience might not care about these technical nitpicks.

Emotional High Points – Heart Connection

Surprisingly, Dhamaal 4 has a few emotional moments that actually work. There’s a scene where Adi and Manav have a genuine brotherly moment that reminds you why this franchise is so beloved. The friendship angle between Guddu and Jonny also has a sweet payoff at the end. But yaar, these moments are few and far between. The film is mostly about laughs, not tears. Still, for a comedy film, these small heart-touching moments add a layer that makes you care about the characters.

Box Office Prediction – What’s the Verdict?

Dhamaal 4 is releasing on July 10, 2026, and the buzz is real. The trailer dropped on June 11 and got massive reactions. Pre-release predictions suggest a strong opening weekend, especially since the film targets family audiences – the same audience that made films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Gadar 2 massive hits. The clash with other releases has been avoided by shifting dates. But yaar, the previous installment Total Dhamaal (2019) was a box office failure, so there’s pressure. If word of mouth is positive – especially from family audiences – this could easily cross ₹150-200 crore. But if the technical flaws get highlighted on social media, it might struggle. My gut feeling? This one will be a hit – not a blockbuster, but a solid commercial success.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Q1: Is Dhamaal 4 connected to the previous Dhamaal films?
Yes, it is a direct sequel to Total Dhamaal (2019) and continues the treasure-hunting adventure format. But you don’t need to watch the previous films to enjoy this one – the story is standalone.

Q2: Is the film suitable for kids and family viewing?
Absolutely! There is no vulgarity, no adult scenes, and the comedy is clean and slapstick. Kids will love the cartoon-like visuals and over-the-top action. It’s a perfect family entertainer.

Q3: Should I watch it in theatre or wait for OTT?
Bro, if you are a fan of the Dhamaal franchise, definitely watch it in theatre – the sound system and crowd energy add to the experience. But if you are not a die-hard fan, you can wait for OTT. The VFX and technical flaws are more forgiving on a smaller screen.
